Who we are

Space Otter is operated by Echo Web Design, a sole proprietorship based in Canada. Space Otter isn’t available yet, so this policy covers only spaceotter.ca. We’ll update it before the product launches.

Where we operate

This site is directed at English-speaking markets, and Space Otter isn’t currently offered in Quebec.

What we collect

If you use our contact form, we collect your name, work email, company, team size and anything you write in your message.

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and a record of your consent.

When you visit this site, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your request and talk with you about Space Otter. We use technical information to keep this site running and secure.

If you join our waitlist, we use your email to tell you about Space Otter’s launch and send product news. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

We don’t sell your information, and we won’t add you to a marketing list unless you ask to join one, such as our waitlist.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to host this site, store waitlist signups and deliver email. They handle your information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Where it’s held

Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as we need to respond and to maintain reasonable business records, and then delete them. We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to honour that request.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@spaceotter.ca. We’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights under local law.

If we can’t resolve a concern, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If you live in Quebec

Although Space Otter isn’t currently offered in Quebec, if you live there you have rights under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, why we collected it, who can access it and how long we’ll keep it. You can ask us to correct it, stop using or sharing it, or give you a copy in a structured, commonly used format. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.

Your information may be sent outside Quebec, including to our service providers in the United States. This site doesn’t use tracking, profiling or automated decision-making.

If you aren’t satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Children

This site isn’t intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page.
